John Huston received 15 Oscar nominations, but he won only two, and both for the same film: for writing and directing The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948). His father, Walter Huston, won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in the same film.
John Huston's daughter, Anjelica Huston, won Best Supporting Actress for another film directed by her father: Prizzi's Honor (1985). John Huston received an Oscar nomination for the same film, making him the oldest ever Best Director nominee (at the age of 79).
